Blue Moon Music presents:

Grammy-nominated
vocalist Margaret Carlson

Vocalist Margaret Carlson has been compared to Julie Andrews and Maureen McGovern, with her elegant musical style and on-stage presence. Delight your subscribers with the gentle simplicity, power and skilled playfulness of her voice and arrangements.

In her early years, Margaret toured the United States singing in resorts and clubs and was featured on numerous television and radio commercials. In 1985 she was awarded the prestigious “Outstanding Musicianship” award from the Elmhurst College Jazz Festival. Later that year, Margaret decided to leave the music business to focus on raising her two children. When she returned, ten years later, she recorded her first CD, “Once in a Blue Moon”, with pianist/arranger Frank Mantooth. She followed up this recording with a second CD, “This Christmas...my favorite things” and received a Grammy nomination for it in the “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” category.

Today, Margaret performs her beautifully orchestrated arrangements with symphonies. She can be heard at music festivals and as a performer and clinician at schools.

Blue Moon Music can provide Margaret and symphonic arrangements along with Grammy nominated pianist/arranger Frank Mantooth and/or select musicians.

Shows to choose from, with orchestral arrangements, or select individual pieces to accompany your program:

Among the selections are: “My Favorite Things,” “Toyland,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Let It Snow,” “I Saw Three Ships,” “Deck the Halls,” “Away in a Manger,” and “White Christmas.” A 10-minute medley sing-a-long can also be provided.
